Record Sales at Indonesia’s largest Machinery Exhibition

Manufacturing and Machine Tool Indonesia 2008 will be held 3-6 December 2008 following the closure of this year’s event which attracted a record 27,438 trade professionals.

In 2008 Plastics and Rubber, Propak and Printing Indonesia will also be held alongside Manufacturing after this year’s edition attracted 18,398 trade professionals.

Exhibitors were delighted with their participation in these trade fairs with 70% of exhibitors confirming their participation in 2008, at this years show.

Mr Gunawan Alimin of PT. Aida Stamping said “A GREAT show this year! We have met up with new potential customers and in turn significantly broadened our customer base.”

Mrs Wulan Srihandayani of First Machinery said “An incredible show! We have sold 4 of our machines at Machine Tool Indonesia and so we will definitely be back in 2008”.
Mr Own Ng of NSK Singapore said “We believe that Manufacturing Indonesia has given us the opportunity to expose NSK to the various potential industries and so have confirmed our stand for 2008.”
Mr Foong Tak Hoy of PT. Multi Mayaka said “Manufacturing Indonesia indeed is the best trade show in Indonesia as it has continued to deliver good quality customers’

Exhibitors at Plastics and Rubber/Propak and Printing Indonesia were also impressed;
Mr Tjang Billy of Bilplast Grapindo said “To look for business opportunities we joined Propak Indonesia, from this show, we know that the Indonesian market has big potential” (ProPak Indonesia)

Hendra Wijaya of Printama said “ A very successful exhibition with many potential customers” (Printing Indonesia)

Victoria Wu of CHEN HSONG MACHINERY/ ASIAN PLASTICS MACHNERY said
“This exhibition brings a lot of customers for us. It is good chance to find opportunities in Indonesia (Plastics Indonesia).

In all 1,887 companies participated, a 10%increase over the 2006 exhibitions, including 18 national and regional pavilions from China, Czech Republic, Germany (2), India, Italy, Korea (4), Malaysia, Poland, Singapore (2), Taiwan (2), Thailand and the United Kingdom.

Accompanying events adding value to the exhibition included a number of high level conferences entitled “Food Safety Packaging” ( organised by GAPMMI- Indonesian Food and Beverage Association) and The era of high oil prices and their influence on Indonesia’s Manufacturing Industries (organised by GIATPI- Indonesian Woven Polyolefin Manufacturers Association).
